Are you doing things for yourself or others?
Are you genuinely posting photos and videos to capture your memories, or are you checking your phone two minutes after posting to see who liked and commented?
If you create “memories” only to share them online for others to enjoy while missing out on the moment yourself, ask yourself: What am I doing?
Try this instead.
Curate your photo albums into organised folders.
Edit your videos, save them to a USB, and share them with your parents or loved ones when you visit them to give them souvenirs.
Print your favourite photos and create a scrapbook to look back on with your future kids.
In a time when social platforms are designed to make you feel irrelevant, think twice before posting your story, photo, or video.
